The event is an invitation-only, highly technical conference for engineers interested in the software tools that simplify the tricky task of software development. The ever-evolving world of coding is constantly presenting software engineers with fresh and complex challenges, so the @Scale community is focused on bringing people together to openly discuss these challenges and collaborate on the development of new solutions. Think of them as the forces of good fighting the digital headaches we all face.

To do this type of event justice, we had to hire the whole of Studio Spaces in East London for a full venue takeover. Then to set the scene, a custom-built LED wall was installed for the main set piece, with vinyl branding used on the walls and windows, rather than the traditional types of signage. With the help of striking purple mood lighting, the exposed brickwork and industrial venting of the venue were particularly highlighted. An @Scale branded ice cream freezer was then brought in, along with 400 ice creams (which went down very well on an unusually warm day in May!).

Technicians and developers are are an audience we know well so we used our experience to bring an informal and on-trend style of catering to the event. Throughout the day, delegates enjoyed delicious street food from our friends at KERB and drank coffee to their heart’s content, with three coffee stations and micro-kitchens never far from their reach. There were even @Scale branded cookies for them to dip with and snack on, as they deemed fit.
