Instagram Inspiration Beyond Words Brand Experience

Instagram tasked us with creating an engaging event for 200 of the UK’s creative advertising elite with British fashion royalty, Sir Paul Smith. Taking over a Soho record shop, we shared their ‘Inspiration Beyond Words’ concept with an online audience.

One of the campaign goals was to create digital content and sharable moments across Instagram’s vast online audience of creatives. To achieve this, we set about designing the staging, breakout and networking spaces around a vintage record shop, full of nostalgic touches – to create the perfect backdrop for encouraging guests to reach for their smart phones and get sharing.

After making an entrance, guests were chaperoned down the private staircase at the back of the shop to find a surprising basement area. We converted this space into a pop-up Instagram art gallery and conference room. Beautiful photographs in heavy black frames adorned white walls, whilst a stage, bar, furniture and set pieces were created from stunning, sustainably sourced, polished woods.

Guests experienced an intimate audience with a panel of influencers, bloggers, photographers and designers who discussed their use of Instagram and where they looked for their visual inspiration, before an awe-inspiring chat with Sir Paul Smith.

As well as providing full-service event management including event design, AV production and content management, Clive ensured that Instagram’s key messaging was captured and amplified to their audience’s networks… and beyond!
