Facebook came to us to help bring their message to life at RE-Source, the world’s largest gathering of renewable energy buyers and suppliers. They also wanted to amplify their sustainability messaging to a wider remote audience.
Facebook wanted to communicate with key energy players that attend the event in Amsterdam, and also reach those that were dialling in from remote locations. They asked us to design an experience that would help facilitate discussion between key energy market players, that could also be received by a wider audience.
The engaging set up facilitated some great discussion, captivating the hearts and minds of a wide-reaching, energy-focussed remote audience.
To do this, our teams installed a “live lounge”, where conversation and discussion could be captured and projected live around the globe. First things first: We had to ensure our presenters had a strong, engaging backdrop to frame discussions. So we created a fully sustainable stand, making use of kind materials like recycled wood and cardboard – even repurposing old pairs of jeans for the flooring!
The focus on sustainability didn’t end with the materials, we ensured that every stage of the manufacture and transport of everything involved was as environmentally friendly as possible. Something that, to be honest, we’ve always prided ourselves in doing on any event.
This backdrop perfectly set the scene, allowing for our leaders to come together and debate key energy issues, all while being live-streamed via Facebook Live. In terms of digital support, we helped elevate the show, by providing live capture, direction, speaker coaching, content assessment and development, as well as real time trouble shooting.
The end result was a fantastic live streamed session beamed from an intimate location. It ticked all the boxes. It was on brand, on budget and most importantly, it looked cool. The engaging set up facilitated some great discussion, captivating the hearts and minds of a wide-reaching, energy-focussed remote audience.
