Clive helped our friends at Instagram create an evening of discovery and expression, bringing the virtual world to life with their co-founder Kevin Systrom at the newly opened Switch House, part of London’s iconic Tate Modern.
Tasked with showcasing some of the most creative professionals and influencers on Instagram required a multi-faceted experience awash with expertly curated content, tangible demos and a setting to match. We gathered 200 creative directors in the most important cultural building built in Britain in almost 20 years: the newly opened wing of the Tate Modern; The Switch House. With the scene adequately set, Kevin Systrom drove forward an evening of Instagram Story discovery.
Clive successfully showcased Instagram’s unique storytelling features and increased awareness of the platform’s newest feature to some of the creative industry’s leading figures. With our expertise in full-service event management, we saw to it that the catering, environment design, AV production and installation were all fit to leave the prestigious audience in awe.
In this age of content-overload, we knew it was important to get the guests directly involved with the online platform. Amidst the work of art that was the venue, we provided guests with a number of immersive photo-op activations, encouraging them to get to grips with the Instagram brand by creating their own stories for their large online followings to enjoy and be inspired by. The live hashtag feed we set up saw everyone keeping up to date with their peer’s activity and continue to get involved and inspire online audiences beyond this event.
Further to the modern art ambience, guests had the opportunity to get involved with photo activations amongst immersive scenery, so that they could get to grips with the feature by creating their own stories. We also had a live hashtag feed so that everyone could stay up to date with their peer’s activity and inspire others to get involved.
Drinks and canapes were served to keep our guests content while they enjoyed live drawings and an open studio with creative agencies. Then it was time for Kevin to do his thing, where he made a speech to the audience of senior creatives. And truly inspiring it was too.
The end result was an extremely sleek and sophisticated evening of creativity, which perfectly conveyed Instagram’s capabilities to an online and in-person audience, further cementing their position as a bastion of digital art space.
