LinkedIn originally came to us in 2017 to transform their gothic ball into the Halloween party to be seen at. Having achieved that (and then some!), the following year they wanted us back to work our special Clive magic once again.
With the objective of going beyond the screens and meeting rooms of normal business contact, we helped facilitate interaction between the LinkedIn team and their agency partners in a more playful setting. To show gratitude for the projects they’ve delivered together throughout 2018, we created a tantalisingly immersive apocalyptic experience.
Guests went as far as to say that it was like Secret Cinema… Which is about as good as compliments get.
Utilising our talented in-house creative environment design and strategy teams, Clive took care of the venue hire, environmental design and theming, entertainment, AV production (including staging and lighting), event collateral and online registration management: Every single element of the experience told a story.
Their clients said they’ve never been to an agency party like it and that it felt like a high-end festival. Others went as far as to say that the party has changed their perceptions of LinkedIn, positioning them as a much more creative corporate platform. Objective achieved!
As soon as they set foot through the door, guests were thrown headfirst into apocalyptic life and had to find their way through a wall of fog and sinister looking bloody butcher’s curtains. They then emerged faced with a mesmerising fire performer that wouldn’t have seemed out of place in a Mad Max movie.
Scare actors then ushered guests upstairs where they were “decontaminated” by eerie figures in Hazmat suits ensuring they were quarantine-safe and party ready! Once inside glitter, props, face-paint, frozen cocktails and all manner of creepy live entertainment ensured guests partied long into the night.
We received some incredible feedback from LinkedIn too. Their clients said they’ve never been to an agency party like it and it felt like a high-end festival. Others went as far as to say that the party has changed their perceptions of LinkedIn, positioning them as a much more creative corporate platform.
We were delighted to apply our creative strategy to this engagement campaign. Halloween parties aren’t typically on our roster, but this was a fun undertaking for our pals at LinkedIn. A spooktacular success!
