A leading automotive financial services group asked Clive to design their sales incentive programme for 2017… so it was off to Southeast Asia we went!
Each year the company takes forty of their top performing sales representatives on a unique “trip of a lifetime” as part of their annual travel incentive. For 2017, they wanted to do something exotic and exciting – where better, we thought, than the exotic paradise of Thailand. So, we teamed up to take their best and brightest to the world’s most visited city; Bangkok and then onto Phuket, where they were received 5 star treatment in two of Thailand’s most luxurious hotels.
Our troop got gloved up for a traditional family run Muay Thai camp where they were treated to demonstrations and instructor-led training, before getting into the ring themselves. Still relatively intact, this was followed by lunch with the fighting family.
Once in Bangkok the guests were split into groups for a bicycle tour where they could experience the hustle and bustle of local life in the “real” Bangkok. They explored Chinatown’s narrow alleyways, markets and backstreets where their senses came alive with the abundance of sights, sounds, and smells.
That afternoon, they were treated to a tuk-tuk tour, followed by a private dinner at the Issaya Siamese Club (complete with local police escort in true VIP style) for some traditional Thai cuisine in a beautiful setting. While enjoying their food, the group could check out the aromatic Thai herbs that went into their dishes growing in their natural habitat; the lush Chef’s garden.

The guests were even presented with their own branded Muay Thai shorts to remember the day. They then went on to Phuket to zip-line through the rainforest canopy and canoe through the limestone tower karsts, caves and of course see the iconic James Bond Island, before having lunch on their very own private island.
Clive took care of everything from the tracking of sales, delegate registration, travel arrangements, accommodation, activities and the food and beverage.
It was an adventurous few days, fortunately everyone returned in full working order, refreshed and revitalised for another year of hitting their targets.
